Producer
In the main subject Producer, new channels of creativity are opened, inviting you to explore the universe of sound. We’ll work with both songwriting and sound design (synthesis, tone shaping, etc.), sculpt sound using mixing tools, and dive into why some of the greatest musical milestones in history work as brilliantly as they do.
Creating and producing music isn’t just about sitting with your laptop making beats — it’s about seeing music as a living, interconnected organism, where the power of expression grows stronger the more you’re aware of how each element enhances and elevates the others.
Producer is perfect for anyone passionate about creating music electronically. All curious souls ready to explore the world of sound are welcome. The only requirement is that you bring your own computer — preferably not too old — as it will be your main creative tool.
Teaching will take place in Ableton Live and Logic Pro, but you’re welcome no matter which software you use. The techniques and ideas are universal.
In the Producer course, we focus on songwriting and production, the fine details within your tracks, the aesthetic and personal expression, and how composition and arrangement shape and support the final artistic result. Part of the class involves sharing your own music in listening and feedback sessions. Together, we also explore live performance, sound installations, and live effects that strengthen your unique artistic identity.
We also spend a lot of time listening to music — diving into methods, creative processes, and hidden gems. Whether it’s pop, niche, or anything in between, it can all open new doors of inspiration.
Of course, we also have the festival we create and perform at every summer — our very own community camping area called Common Ground. In addition, each term we host “RoFH Nights,” where all main subjects present their work — as exhibitions or on the live stage.

Whether you want to use it to prepare for Sonic College, the conservatory, teacher or pedagogue training, musicology, or even a career as a street musician, the choice is entirely yours. The school and the course instructor are always ready to provide guidance and recommendations to help you clarify your path.

Musiklokalet og studierne
The producers are based in Orange Lecture Hall, providing optimal conditions for instruction and sound production. In our four sound studios, you can spend hours geeking out on your productions, and you can record your instrument or practice your voice undisturbed for your next performance or track. Additionally, large parts of the school’s common areas are well-suited for diving in with the computer as an instrument.
