Sound &light

Large and small live productions and events require knowledge and experience in event tech and production. At Roskilde Festival Folk High School, we offer the course ‘Sound and Lighting’ in collaboration with Roskilde Festival.
The music and event scene in Denmark is experiencing an exhilarating progress in expression, technology, diversity, and conditions, and there is definitely a need for professional capacity in sound and light techs, audio/visual techs, and event and stage technicians. That is why we will introduce you to the world of sound and lights!
During the course, your classes will learn from professional sound, lighting, and AV technicians with many years of experience in festivals, venues, theaters and on tours. Our main teacher of the course will guide you in your progress and goals. At folk high schools, there are no exams or grades, but we can guarantee that if you work hard and apply yourself, you earn a certificate from the school and a strong network of professionals in the industry.
No matter if you are joining your friends’ band on tour, if you are volunteering at a venue, or maybe just curious about a fun, creative, hands-on and inclusive industry in arts and culture, then Sound & Lighting is something for you.
